Mr. Shantha Jayasinghe obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya and joined the Advisory and Extension Division of the Tea Research Institute, then obtained his postgraduate degree in Agric. Extension from the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya.

He worked as the Officer-in-charge of the Deniyaya Regional Center of the Tea Research Institute and joined A Baur & Company Limited as a General Manager of its Advisory and Extension Department. After his retirement from the Baur & Company, he joined the Rainforest Alliance as a consultant for Sustainable Landscapes Management and is currently working as a consultant at the Demo Company Limited.
